What personal data we collect and why we collect it

The personal data we collect from users and site visitors may include name, email address, mobile number, personal account preferences; transactional data, such as purchase information; and technical data, such as information about cookies.

We use sucuri security-auditing, malware scanner to protect your data and security whilst using our site. We also use wordpress hosting services who handle the technical aspects such as security, maintenance, and updating the platform.

We keep our third party plugins up todate and have enabled automatic updates for each, to maintain your security.

Please note any collection and retention of sensitive personal data, through forms such as data concerning health, such as food allergies for catering for events purposes will be shared with third party catering for your safety only.

By giving us your personal information you are giving active consent to us and permission to pass this information on for health safety, for distributing of prizes, for food preparation for social events or travel, for data collection, for legal reasons and for running our business.

By default, WordPress does not include a contact form. We do use plugins, like Everest forms and user registration, questionnaires and contact form to capture vital information so you can have the best experience. We also use plugins Printful, Elementor and Jet Pack. The personal data collected will include orders, name, phone number, email address and preferences and answers to the questions on the form. By entering your information and answers you are giving active consent to use this information at the businesses disgression and we keep that data for as long as you are a member, or remain in our system until you request in writing for the information collect to be removed from our data base. We will be data for two years after any purchase on our website of a product or service. Cancelling an order will remove you from our system, Unless you have registered for any newsletter or subscription base media, product or communication. All information will be deleted and not retrievable after such time. This information will be used for Remind My Life’s business to function and will be used to market and cater to you specific needs and requests.

REMIND MY LIFE uses google analytics, advertising analytics on all platforms, including facebook advertising, Instagram advertising, TicTok advertising, linked In advertising, google advertising, whatsapp, wordpress analytics to improve REMIND MY LIFES community experience, performance and desired community outcome. Social experience is based on answering the questionaire’s honestly so we can tailor REMIND MY LIFE’s culture and experience to your needs.

REMIND MY LIFE uses woo commerce payment process which is linked to stripe, paypal, visa, mastercard so you can join and purchase products at your convenience. Please visit their websites to read their privacy policies.

By default WordPress does not share any personal data with anyone.

How long we retain your data

We will keep your contact form entries for 12 months and analytics records for 2 years, and customer purchased records for 10 years in line with taxation laws.

But we will remove any card records immediately on request or after 2 years.

What rights you have over your data

You can remove your information off REMINDMYLIFE with any request in writing to remindmylife@gmail.com. Unfortunately we have no control over our third party providers and merchants so please read their privacy policy and seek advise and instructions from those listed above.

Where your data is sent

This site is hosted on wordpress and all data is stored on our wordpress hosting site. It is not sent anywhere or stored on any cloud storage currently. However if this changes we will update our policy in accordance and notify you via email or our newsletter. Third party services we use are woo commerce, woo commerce subscriptions to maintain your membership.

We use security measures such as two factor authentication; and measures such as staff training in data protection. And we suggest you keep your password safe or change your password immediately if you think your account has been compromised.

We take data breaches seriously, either potential or real and we keep an internal reporting system, Sucuri security auditing and Malware scanner and security hardening plugin to protect our site. We also have two factor authentication in place. Any breach or potential breach will be investigated and measures put in place to update and protect our site and your credentials.

Our web site receives data about users from third parties, including advertisers, Google, Instagram, facebook, Link In, Whatsapp, Jetpack, Sururi, Pintrist, TicTok advertising this information is used to protect and improve the user experience and increase the success our our business.

What automated decision making and/or profiling we do with user data

Our web site uses active campaign subscription to maintain access to all of our products and services. Subscriptions information is stored using woo commerce subscriptions, mailpoet and active campaign. This information is securely stored and processed as advised at time of purchase. Customers will be notified of any automatic transaction via email using mailpoet, woo commerce or active campaign with an opportunity to opt out at anytime prior to the debt and within 24 hours after the transaction. As these transactions are handled by a third party provider. Once 24 hours post transaction has elapsed the customer can then only cancel reoccurring future payments. Fees will be incurred at the cost to the customers to cancel within the 24 hour period. After such time has elapsed only future transactions can be cancelled at no further charge. We do allow customers to change their name on our site from privacy and protection purposes.

Our team members have access to this information to help fulfill entries and support you and are under strict company security laws and instructions not to breach the rules and laws around sharing your information.

We share information with third parties who help us provide our orders and store services to you; for example –Woo commerce subscriptions, stripe, paypal, visa, mastercard, printful, raffle play, mail poet, active campaign, sucuri.
